One thing I learned as a new parent was to start my girls early with a bedtime routine. At three months both girls knew what to expect when it was bedtime. We had dinner, baths, story-time, and then bedtime. Now at 3 and 2 years old they still like to have a routine for bedtime because they know what’s coming next.
Both girls have allergies, therefore, I make sure that I don’t use any products or materials that have ingredients that may cause their allergies to flair up. For example, I found out early on that lavender upsets Maddi’s allergies. For Addi, certain fabrics create a storm of sneezing and skin reactions. Luckily I was introduced to Adoric Life Premium Quality Bed Pillows, Down Alternative, Hypoallergenic & Dust Mite Resistant, Comfortable Pillows for Sleeping. The girls like pillows that have a slight “fluff” to them so they can sit up easily while watching their favorite show. It also helps if their sinuses are draining and their head is at a slight incline. The pillows are the perfect balance of softness and firmness.
